I’m Oscar the sales manager of Damasteel and the husband of a loving wife and father of two wonderful boys.
I happened to land in the world of steel a little by accident when studying at the university, but it has been a very happy accident. Steel is a wonderful material that can be used and manipulated in the most astonishing ways. Up until now I had never actually worked with steel, even after over 15 years working in the steel industry. Making a knife was an eye opening experience and made me appreciate the creativity and artistry that goes in to each hand made knife. Not to mention all the hard work.

With the help of some of my blacksmith and bladesmith friends and the experiences of 15 years in the knife world the knife below was forged

When not being part of the damascus steel world I love traveling in Europe and experiencing all the food, wine and culture that is concentrated in such a small part of the world.

A Knarr (/nɔːr/) is a type of Norse merchant ship used by the Vikings for long sea voyages and during the Viking expansion. The knarr was a cargo ship; the hull was wider, deeper and shorter than a longship, and could take more cargo and be operated by smaller crews.
